“JohnnyO” Ozelius
JohnnyO is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist living in Allen, Texas. Until recently JohnnyO was a local fixture in the underground acoustic rock scene in Concord, NH. He has been playing, performing and writing music since the late 1970’s.
JohnnyO attended Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania, refined his style into early “unplugged” and played a lot of coffeehouses and open mike shows. He became a local celebrity on campus playing such venues as the Gangplank, The Bullethole and the original Wolfes Pub. He also organized a successful tribute to Harry Chapin and held the attendance record for the Gangplank, an on campus club.
After graduation, JohnnyO continued to entertain for parties, clubs and special events. However economic reality caught up and marriage, 3 kids, two cars and one house saw JohnnyO living the quiet suburban life until a few years ago. After some time away from music, JohnnyO began writing and performing again in 1998. With a renewed passion, JohnnyO approaches music with a fresh attitude. In Dec 2003, JohnnyO released his debut CD titled, “JohnnyO: Slugging Fool”. The CD contains twelve original songs which highlight JohnnyO’s diverse influences and interests.
In June of 2005, JohnnyO and his family moved to Allen Texas i order to bring his music career to a new level. Hello to New Hampshire! ! Texas is a great place, but I really miss New Hampshire and all my friends there. JohnnyO is available for concerts, parties, clubs and special events.
